Who is this course for?
Those who are currently working in industry and have the capacity to collect work based evidence which is essential for successful completion of the NVQ.

What are the entry requirements?
You will be assessed on your English and Maths skills at interview. You must be able to provide evidence of skills and knowledge from a real work environment.
After applying you will have an interview to determine which course is suitable for your needs and abilities.

• Minimum Literacy Level: Entry 2

You can read and understand short pieces of writing such as letters, messages, simple stories, timetables and adverts. You can write short pieces of writing - for example an email to a friend, a simple letter, a story or a message.
• Minimum Numeracy Level: Entry 2

You can work with numbers, symbols, and simple diagrams. You can add and subtract simple numbers and use simple fractions. You can use money, tell the time, measure things and know about squares, triangles and rectangles.

What qualification will I receive?
NVQ Level 2.

Where can it lead?
NVQ level 3 and improved job prospects.

What will I study?
Practical skills and knowledge in a range of job related activities. For example hand skills, working with materials, health and safety, drawing and setting out.

How will I be taught?
Formal Lessons, Knowledge Assignments and Assessments, Practical Work and also assessment in the work place

How will I be assessed?
On-going, Assignments, Practical Tasks, Multi-Choice Papers, Short Answer Papers and observation of skills and other evidence in the work place.

What support is available while I am on the course?
You will have access to a personal tutor to help you throughout the course and the College offers a comprehensive range of student services including learning and language support, guidance and counselling.

What will it cost?
Age under 19 on 31st August of the year you start your course? Study forFREE.
