Course programme

Dementia Awareness
A half day course which will give carers an insight into the difficulties which can be expected when working with sufferers of dementia, how to overcome some problems and how to best assist dementia sufferers. A certificate of attendance will be issued upon completion.

The objectives of the course are to:
Acquire a basic understanding of the causes of dementia
Be able to identify common symptoms of dementia
Be more aware of the problems of the persons suffering with dementia
Be more able to assist a person suffering with dementia

Assessment
Assessment of gained knowledge is through completion of multiple choice questions.

Qualification
All students will be issued with a Certificate of Attendance on completion of the course.
