Introduction:
Depilation is the temporary removal of superfluous hair. The effect is obtained professionally by the application of hot or warm wax to areas including legs, underarms, bikini-line, eyebrows and face.

Study Mode & Location:
This 14 week course is intensive and will require models for students to practice the learning process. It will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.

Course Content:
You will study the following:

• Support Health & Safety and security in the workplace
• Support employment standards
• Prepare for and proved depilation

Assessment:
All units are internally assessed by an assessor observing and questioning your practical work. There are workbooks which need to be completed at home, they consist of:

• Health & Safety
• Assignment

All practical assessments must be carried out on paying clients, which you will be required to provide.

Careers & Progression Opportunities:
Successful completion of this course allows progression to other areas of the Beauty Department. Employment opportunities exist in the Beauty sectors.

Additional Costs:
The cost of this course is £351. You will also need the following equipment/materials, which are available from Preston College. (Please note; costs are approximate and will be confirmed at induction.

• Uniform from £20.

How To Apply
You will need to have an informal interview with an Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.

Money Matters
Depending upon your circumstances, you may be able to study at a reduced price.
