Course programme

This course aims to develop your technological know-how and design capability.


You will apply your knowledge and understanding of technology and industrial practices to develop and manufacture innovative high quality products using a range of materials and processes.


You will require 5 GCSEs at grades A* to C including a Design and Technology subject. For the A Level Systems and Control it is essential that the you have A*- C grade in Systems and Control or Electronics at GCSE.


You will be invited to attend an interview, and will undertake an assessment in literacy and numeracy, to establish any support required.


You will carry out a Design and Make Task (approximately 60 hours). You will submit one Design and Make Task which will satisfy the AS assessment criteria.
