Course Description
This Clinical Experience Programme is held in association with the University of Nottingham and Derby City General Hospital.
Crucially, delegates will have the opportunity to witness the impact of diabetes first hand through interaction with people experiencing diabetes and the healthcare professionals caring for this patient group. Case studies and open discussions are a key to this programme.
Our expert speakers will introduce the pathogenesis of the disease and discuss current prevention and treatment options as well as the complications associated with diabetes. The complex inter-relationship with dyslipidaemias, hypertension, obesity and subsequent cardiovascular risk will be examined in some detail.
