This programme is dedicated to healthcare professionals working with children and adolescents with diabetes. It aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to provide high quality care for your young patients and support for their parents or carers.
The flexible, modular structure allows you to study over a period suited to your own professional needs and circumstances.
Taught by experts from Warwick Medical School in diabetes, child education, child advocacy and mental health, this is an interactive programme in which you will learn through seminars, group work and individual study.

About this course
This course is designed for healthcare professionals across a whole spectrum of disciplines and experience involved in the care of children and adolescents with diabetes.
All students need to have a first degree or equivalent. They also need to have current registration as a healthcare professional alongside two years’ post-registration experience in diabetes and paediatrics. Applicants with nursing or other professional qualifications and an appropriate level of experience will also be considered.

This is an interactive programme. You will learn from the experiences of your fellow students and through lectures and seminars and group work. Modules are organised in blocks of intensive study lasting either four or five days at a time.
Assessment:
Assessment for each module usually takes the form of a 4,000 word essay. The Professional Project is assessed by 4,000 word project report, an oral presentation and poster presentation.
