Digging & Preparing Soil

Looking at correct and safe digging techniques and when it’s the best time to cultivate and how. We will have discussions of what constitutes a good seed base and how to prepar, to ensure growing success. We will be looking at different tools and soil types and how to choose the most suitable tool and technique. There will be a practical digging demonstration along with information on when to dig! We will also look at what to add to your soil to improve its productivity, including green manuring. Please wear sturdy footwear, preferably safety boots.
