Ion is a self taught photographer specialising in architecture and portrait. He’s been living in the UK, London over the last 7 years. He fell in love with photography long time ago and he found it to be a consuming passion ever since. He bought his first DSLR camera 4 years ago and devoted himself to photography particularly architecture and portraiture. Ion strives to bring out each people's personality in his photos and to tell the story and spirit of each special day through his captures.

Photographing Southbank by Night

Impress your friends and family with amazing night photographs of famous London landmarks!

Photoion is introducing an evening workshop running on Tuesdays from 5.00 PM- 8.00 PM designed to introduce beginner and intermediate photographers to dusk / night photography on different locations along the fabulous Southbank (the location will be chosen on request).

There will be plenty of tips and tricks and we will discuss key principle and relevant camera settings and techniques (concepts and composition) for dusk and evening photography and then make photos in the selected locations.

Hungerford and Golden Jubilee Bridges - People and Car Light Trails - shooting point by the bridge
Oxo Tower and City Lights - shooting point by Gabriel's Wharf
St Paul's Cathedral and Millennium Bridge - shooting point from Tate Modern end of Millennium Bridge The London Eye and County Hall - shooting point from Embankment Pier

What you will need:
A Digital SLR or a Professional Compact camera with Full Manual Exposure mode and a tripod + remote shutter release. If you haven’t got a camera yet you can borrow one of our semi-professional cameras + lenses + tripod and other accessorises. Please contact Ion in advance if you wish to use one of our spare cameras.
