Paramedics are highly skilled practitioners who work in challenging, exciting and dynamic environments at the frontline of the NHS, ensuring patients are provided with the best possible care outside the hospital environment. The role requires knowledge and skills in areas such as anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, illness and disease, clinical assessment, legal and ethical issues and teamwork. This popular programme is taught primarily at our Manchester City Centre location and includes placements across the Greater Manchester area. It is for anyone seeking a career at the frontline of healthcare and enables you to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a qualified paramedic. The programme also includes approximately three weeks of study at the Edge Hill University campus in Ormskirk.
