Course description This Level 3 Diploma course prepares you for a career in the Health and Social Care sector and depending on whether you enrol on the Diploma or the Extended Diploma you will study twelve or eighteen units.These will include:Effective Communication in Health and Social CareEquality Diversity and RightsHealth Safety and SecurityDevelopment through the Life StagesAnatomy and PhysiologyPersonal and Professional DevelopmentYou will also study sociological and psychological perspectives dementia care and caring for children and young people.Further specialist units allow for a more in-depth understanding to social care and if you have not achieved GCSE Maths or English at Grade C you will continue to study these at Level 2.

Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You will be assessed continually throughout the year leading up to a number of summative assessments using a variety of formats. Summative assessments are limited to one submission and therefore attendance of above 90% is essential.
