You will learn from experienced and specialist art and design tutors who will be able to offer advice and support in terms of your studies and future goals. This is supported by demonstrations, workshops and activities provided by visiting practitioners from the sector.Classes are delivered in well-resourced studios, specialist workshops and access to laptops and computer suites with specilaist software.The qualification content enables learners to undertake studies in specialist areas of art and design such as Design Crafts, Fashion and Textikes, Photography, Product Design, Visual Arts and Visual Communication.The qualification is delivered through a practical project based approach and consists of the following units of study:Unit 1: Introduction to Specialist Pathways in Art and Design • Unit 2: Creative Project in Art and Design • Unit 3: Communicating Ideas in 2D • Unit 4: Communicating Ideas in 3D • Unit 5: Developing an Art and Design PortfolioUnit 6: Investigating Contextual References in Art and Design
