You must be employed in a role of manager in a domiciliary/residential setting; a deputy manager/assistant manager or an advanced practitioner and ideally have completed Level 3 Diploma in Care. All places are subject to satisfactory interview. The programme will be delivered predominantly in the work place on a 1:1 basis with an appointed assessor who is occupationally competent within the sector. Some elements of the course will be taught in group sessions in college. The units within the Level 5 Diploma will be assessed by observation. However, all units have a requirement to provide knowledge evidence. This requires a written explanation of work practice, and this can be obtained via reflective accounts, assignment and written questioning. Essential Skills Qualification in Communication, Application of Number and Digital Literacy will have to be completed. Continued professional development.

About this course

You must be aged over 19 years old, and need to be employed in the Care sector for 16 hours a week or more, in a relevant role.
