You don't need any formal qualifications to join this course, however you will need to have good communication skills and a strong interest in working with people in care settings. DBS clearance and references required.

Course programme
What will I study on the course?
You will learn the important aspects of caring for children and also adults of different ages and with learning disabilities. You will spend time visiting work settings such as schools and care homes and you will also undertake a two week work placement.
You will take part in practical activities, plan trips and visits and take part in voluntary community-based activities to develop your independent learning. Ideal if you would like to train and prepare for a career working with children and young people or in health and social care.
