Course programme

Course Content: There is a total of 80 credits for the full award. Group A - five shared mandatory units, completed by all learners: Use and Develop Systems that Promote Communication Promote Professional Development Champion Equality and Diversity Develop Health and Safety and Risk Management Work in Partnership Group B1, C1 and D1 for Children and Young People's Services workers - a second tier of seven mandatory units Group E1, F1 and G1 for Adult Care workers - a second tier of seven mandatory units The remainder of the credits will be made up from optional units, chosen by the learner and specific to their job role. How will I be assessed? You will attend class sessions to fulfil the knowledge evidence requirements of the Diploma and to participate in workshops. There is peripatetic assessment in the workplace, conducted by qualified experienced assessors. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? No What can I do after this course? You can progress to a Foundation Degree in Health and Social Care.
