Whether you have experience in light vehicle repair or simply love cars, our Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Level 2, offers the essential skills you need to take your training to the next level. Our course balances theory with some great hands-on experience. By working on real vehicles in our workshop, you will build your knowledge of key vehicle systems and begin to develop simple diagnosis and maintenance skills. You will learn how to remove and repair engines, electrical auxiliary units, vehicle chassis units and a range of other components. You will also gain a working knowledge of health and safety procedures, and develop important communication and functional skills that will help you when ordering systems, job sheets and technical resources. Entry requirements You will have a Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, Level 1, with GCSE grades A-E in a range of subjects. Alternatively, you will have built up prior experience of the industry and a working knowledge of automotive theory. You will need to be able to commit to the course. You will learn something new every day, so good attendance is a must.
