PrerequisitesA study score of 30 in VCE Specialist Mathematics Units 3 and 4 or equivalent, or successful completion of university-level studies equivalent to VCE Specialist Mathematics Units 3 and 4. Bachelor of Science students who are majoring in Mathematics and Statistics or Mathematical Physics cannot undertake the Diploma in Mathematical Sciences.The Diploma in Mathematical Sciences will generally add an extra year of full-time study to your degree. However, fast-track opportunities are available to complete both your degree and the diploma in three or three-and-a-half years of full-time study, or equivalent part-time study. Permission to fast track will be granted to students based on strong academic performance.
