Entry Requirements
No formal qualifications are required, you will have an interview with the specialist tutor and an assessment of English and maths will be made at enrolment. You must also have a keen interest in the subject.

Course Duration
One year, full time

Skills and Benefits
This course will enable you to learn practical skills and knowledge of painting and decorating. It provides an excellent opportunity to obtain a sound base in basic skills and knowledge of painting and decorating required by employers.

There are no optional units on this qualification.

Course Assessment
This course is assessed with practical modules, theory units, online exams and assignments. At the end of the course you will also be required to complete an online test in Basic Construction Skills Health and Safety.

Progression
Successful completion of this qualification provides you with basic knowledge and skills required for progression into employment or to the Level 2 Diploma in Painting and Decorating.
