Diploma in Painting and Decorating Level 1

What will I study on the course?

You will learn safe working practices, building methods and construction technology, how to erect and dismantle access and working platforms, preparation of surfaces, application of paint systems by brush and roller and how to apply papers to walls, specialist decorative finishes. Ideal if you would like to develop both the skills and knowledge to become a painter and decorator.

You will also study Health and safety Level 2 and Employability Skills Entry Level 3 or Level 1. Functional skills Maths and English will also form part of the course; this can be determined by previous qualifications and also an Initial assessment that will be carried out at the start of the course.
