Wanting a career in the hospitality industry? Our Level 1 course introduces you to the skills you need to be successful. With training in food preparation and cooking, health and safety, front of house, and basic food preparation, you’ll be ready to start work in the industry. Learning about good customer service in hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism trades are also covered.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you would be expected to show a keen interest in the industry and hold a basic level of English and maths.
Course Duration
One year – Full time.
Skills and Benefits
You will learn, develop and practice skills required for employment and/or a career in the hospitality sector. Practice skills will include food and beverage service, food preparation and cooking and customer service. Related functional skills in English and maths also form a large part of learning and development.

Course Assessment
Assessment is largely by assignment and practical tasks. There are two units that require short answer responses.
Progression
If you are successful on this course you can this may lead to Hospitality Apprenticeship, full time employment or Diplomas in professional cookery or professional food and beverage service.
