About this course

You should have two GCSE's at Grade D or above in English and maths or a relevant Level 1 Qualification, and have an interest in carpentry and joinery. You will progress through our selection procedure which consists of an initial assessment and interview.

City and Guilds Diploma in Site Carpentry (QCF) Level 2.

Course programme

What will I study on the course?

You will study building methods and construction technology, how to carry out first fix operations, how to carry out second fix operations, how to erect structural carcassing, how to carry out maintenance and how to set up and operate power tools and equipment. Ideal if you would like to further develop both the skills and knowledge as joiner.

Additional information

The course is delivered over 2 days per week for one year. The main enrolment period for this course is in September but there will also be the opportunity to start the course at other times if places are available.
