Diploma in Travel & Tourism Foundation

The joint IATA-UFTAA International Travel Agents Training Programme has been completely redesigned to meet the growing demand for well-trained staff in travel agencies. The IATA-UFTAA course guarantees a high standard of training and has gained industry-wide recognition and acceptance. It is a unique qualification for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the travel industry.

The course is designed primarily for the counter and ticketing staff of travel agencies but is also useful to sales and reservation staff of airlines, airport handling companies and tour operators.

The following IATA-UFTAA courses are offered at University Tutorial College:

IATA-UFTAA Diploma in Travel & Tourism Consultant Course

University Tutorial College is an approved IATA-UFTAA Authorised Training Centre.

The Foundation course is the first of the four levels. By studying this course and successfully completing the examination, you will achieve the IATA/UFTAA international Travel & Tourism qualification and will be able to use the letters DTTF (Diploma in Travel and Tourism Foundations) after your name. The 12 Modules of the Foundation course will give you an understanding of the travel and tourism industry, the practicalities of the travel professional's role in this industry, the importance of exceeding customers' expectations and a foundation of air fare calculations and ticketing.

Exams leading to the IATA/UFTAA Foundation qualification are held in March and September each year.
