"The pest control operator is the one who is dedicated to pest control operations in public and private places. Pest control is generically defined as the set of operations aimed at eliminating, or at least limiting, parasites (arthropods, muridae and weeds) and their damage, from the simple application of spray products in the home to real fight plans. Strictly speaking, pest control refers to the fight against insects, while operations against rats are called ""rodent control"" and those against weeds weeding. The battle plans are based on the strategies of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and must also integrate with Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), i.e. overcoming the critical points of the process subject to disinfestation.
