Course Content:
By the end of the course the participant will be able to display an understanding of:
- Overview of relevant regulations
- Requirements of DSE Regulations
- Workstations:
- What constitutes a workstation
- Operator interface
- User definition
- Hazards and potential health effects related to DSE work:
- WRULD
- Eyesight
- Stress,etc.
- Ergonomics of the workstation including:
- Setting up work stations
- Adjustments
- Posture and seating
- Keyboards and screen
- Housekeeping and checks of posture
- Recording, monitoring and implementing controls
- Assessment techniques
- User training requirements
- Structuring and delivering the training
- Practical assessments
- Written test
The training involves candidate participation with the emphasis on the practical element of the training. On day two the candidate will carry out a practical training session on which they will be assessed.
