Modules

There are two pathways available at BSc, each of which can be taken on a full or part-time basis which will take 1-2 years to complete:

BSc District Nursing (V300):
  • Developing Professional Practice for District Nursing 1 (20 credits level 6)
  • Developing Professional Practice for District Nursing 2 (20 credits level 6)
  • History taking and clinical examination skills (20 credits level 6)
  • Non-Medical Prescribing (V300) (60 credits level 6)
BSc District Nursing (V100):
  • Developing Professional Practice for District Nursing 1(20 credits level 6)
  • Developing Professional Practice for District Nursing 2 (20 credits level 6)
  • History taking and clinical examination skills (20 credits level 6)
  • Prescribing from the community practitioners formulary (V100) (10 credits level 6)
  • Prescribing in practice (V100) (10 credits level 6)
  • Plus two optional modules that meet personal and professional requirements from the CPPD portfolio to equate to 40 credits
