Course programme
PADI Dive Master training is the first step on the Leadership ladder. This rating denotes you as an individual who has a high level of personal diving skill, has Instructor level knowledge of diver theory, has had significant training in how to assist an Instructor during training activities and is able to assume a role of responsibility for the welfare of other divers in you charge. Many Dive Masters go on to become PADI Instructors and it is your experience gained through training with Aberdeen Watersports that will shape your ability and attitude as a professional diving educator.
Course Prerequisites:
Be certified as a PADI Advanced diver or Equivalent.
Be certified as a PADI Rescue diver or Equivalent.
Logged over 60 open water dives over 18 years of age.
PADI Dive Master Goals:
To enable you the candidate to organise , conduct and supervise recreational diving activities
To enable you to effectively act as an instructional assistant to a PADI Instructor.
To develop your theoretical diving knowledge to a level sufficient to become an Instructor.
Notes:
The Dive Master course is designed to train you as an individual to a supervisory level. In this role, you as the Dive Master may oversee general diving activities or serve as an underwater guide. The Dive Master may also fulfil important duties as an instructional assistant and may conduct PADI environmental orientation dives.
