Does the graphic design and desktop publishing courses include practical training on use of Adobe software (photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and creating a portfolio during the study period?

Photoshop / illustrator will be touched on. However, this is not a software training course but rather a design / publishing course. So you will be learning about color, elements, layout, typography etc. These principles of design are applicable within any software package. Also, there is no practical work or training placement involved in this course since the program is mainly theoretical and done through distance learning. However, we strongly encourage students to take advantage of any on-the-job training programs that are available in the area while studying with us. This is something that the student would have to arrange independently to gain hands-on experience.
