About this course
Admission to the programme is at the discretion of the tutor following an informal interview exploring your previous achievements and experience. You do need a basic level of Maths and English.If you need help with your English or Maths, the College can provide you with the support necessary to achieve your chosen course of study.

Introduction:
This course is aimed at adult students who may wish to become employed or self employed within the Repair & Service of Domestic Appliances. Course design and delivery ensure that students are educated to the high standard expected by prospective employers. Opportunities are provided for all students to investigate and diagnose complex `White Goods` equipment gaining a sound working knowledge of a wide range of domestic appliances. Throughout the course students will be encouraged to acquire and demonstrate their skill and knowledge through ongoing assessments and portfolio building.
Study Mode & Location:
This one year part-time course lasts for 9 hours per week and will be held at Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent`s Road, Preston, PR2 8UR.

Multi choice examinations, practical assessments and portfolio building.
Careers & Progression Opportunities:
There is no direct progression following the successful completion of this course.

You will need to have an informal interview with a Adult Admissions Adviser.
Many courses have limited places so please enquire as soon as possible. Following interview, the earliest you may enrol is mid-June.
