You will develop your confidence and skills by taking part in practical activities involving drama and music. You will also have the opportunity to get involved in performances both at the College and at outside events.

As well as improving your communication and interpersonal skills, you will also develop your abilities in English and Maths.

No formal qualifications are required, but a willingness to perform in front of others is desirable. This course is for people up to 24 years of age.

You will be assessed through the practical and the theory work , by building a portfolio of the work . it will then be internally assessed.

On successful completion of the course, you will achieve the Edexcel Entry Level 2 Diploma in Skills for Independence and Work, and the Edexcel Entry Level 3 Award in Performing Arts. You will also achieve internal qualifications that recognise other skills that you have developed.

Following the course, you may progress into work in the performing arts industry. You may also choose to undertake further training or study another subject at Entry Level 3.
