To enable course delegates to conduct driving assessments, and produce accurate reports. To enable course delegates to conduct driving assessments of personnel which can be interpreted in terms of training needs by qualified driving instructors: Job applicants prior to their acceptance for driver's duties.. Existing staff whose driving is suspect. Suitable for: Selected Staff/Drivers preferably showing the potential for analytical work and report writing. Drivers and other Staff who have been selected by the company for further development in the role as job Assessor.

Objectives:
To enable course delegates to conduct driving assessments, and produce accurate reports.
To enable course delegates to conduct driving assessments of personnel which can be interpreted in terms of training needs by qualified driving instructors:
· Job applicants prior to their acceptance for driver's duties.
· Existing staff whose driving is suspect.
· Existing staff who have been involved in blameworthy accidents.
· Other staff who may be required to undergo assessment.
Content:
· Welcome/introductions and expectations.
· Personal driving assessment and correction, fitness for driving, driver licensing and comparison of driving test with assessment.
· Basic driver vehicle checks.
· Driving assessments and demonstrations.
· Route selection/report writing/highway code.
· Identification of training needs through fault analysis.
· Driving techniques.
· Role play exercises/guided preparation and practice sessions.
· Assessment programme:
theory paper.
demonstration and commentary driving.
in-cab remedial lessons.
· Course review and open forum.

· DURATION: 3 Days. COURSE DATES: T.B.A.
· LOCATION: On-site.
Note: Depending on vehicle to be used for training, attendee ratio of between 2 to staff max to 1 instructor.
