History

Formed in 1967 it is East Anglia’s premier training organisation for the Industrial and Commercial sectors in engineering. EAGIT has been awarded CoVE (Centre of Vocational Excellence) and Beacon status.

Eagit has centre and qualification approval from awarding bodies including the City and Guilds, EAL and Edexcel.

From April 2011 full programmes for Initial Teacher Training will be available from Eagit Training. A dynamic team of highly qualified and dedicated professionals from the sector have come together to put in place a series of quality programmes to meet the needs of all those with an interest in the highest standards in teaching, training and learning. Eagit has worked closely with the Institute for Learning (IfL) since 2003 and can offer informed, impartial information and advice on the best route to qualification for individuals and organisations alike to meet their training needs and legal requirements if applicable.
