This exciting programme will allow entry into washing machine and or Smart TV servicing, repair and installation. With electronic equipment becoming more interactive and SMART the need for training in this rapidly developing field is becoming vital.
There is a skills shortage in this sector which provides excellent employment opportunities.
The course will include hands on training in repair, installation, servicing of both washing machines (white goods) and SMART TV (brown goods).

About this course

From Level 3 into employment in the electronic servicing sector sector or a Level 4 course.

For Level 3 entry would be the Level 2 EAL or equivalent.
Interview to this study programme is mandatory.

Course programme

The course is delivered via a 'learning through doing' ethos. The college workshops are fully equipped with the very latest market leading electronic products.

There will be both theory and practical elements. Candidates will be linked with an employer to help gather relevant practical assessment opportunities. Guest market leading experts will provide technical seminars on developments such as the SMART HOME.

Assessment will include developing a portfolio, on line assessments and practical assignments.

The course runs for two evenings or one day a week for one academic year.

Additional information

There will be trips to local factories and opportunities to visit trade shows which will provide candidates with the opportunity to network in the industry.
