Early Education and Childcare Level 6 provides learners with knowledge and understanding of the care, learning and development of children aged 0-12 years. The course consists of Child Development: Birth to 12 Years, Developmental Theory in Early Education and Childcare and Holistic Approaches to Childhealth.

The course studies methods used by psychologists and educationalists, and covers theories of child development. Learners also study children's basic health needs and the impact of social trends on these.
