Early Years Care & Education - BA (Hons) Top Up Higher Education

• Dissertation - Students will manage an analytical exploration of an emerging trend or issue that those working with children and young people are facing in today's changing and challenging world. 
• Global Childhood - Students will study cultural diversity and its effect on experiences and the  expectations of children and young people in terms of education and future employment opportunities. Students will explore children's rights and responsibilities with a global perspective and international aid and its potential to alleviate poverty.
• Effective Contemporary Practice - Students will study current and future national initiatives and legislation that impacts on working practice, reflect upon how quality provision is maintained and how all stakeholders are kept informed and have access to current relevant information.
• The Diverse Child - Students will study the impact of policies and procedures employed within appropriate curriculum frameworks to support those with additional needs and uphold successful transitions.
• Social Policy and Childhood - Students will explore historical aspects of social policy today, investigate children's rights and responsibilities and analyse the impact of current policy.
