By studying this course you will be able to demonstrate that you hold in-depth knowledge of what it takes to manage and lead a superior team of early years’ practitioners. You will also be able to demonstrate that you know what it takes to give care that is to the highest standards as outlined in the EYFS. (The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is a curriculum framework that has been compulsory in all child care settings in the UK since 2008 as stipulated by the Child Care Act 2006.)

Our Early Years Level 4 course is perfect for existing Early Years Practitioners who are looking to take their knowledge in childcare to a higher level. This course is particularly suited to those wishing to set up their Child Care business, and for those wishing to work in a supervisory or management-level position in the Early Years environment.

Unit 1: Supporting the Emotional and Physical Well-being of Children

  • Understand the emotional development of children from birth to sixty months
  • Explore theorists involved with the emotional development of children
  • Understand the importance of attachment and bonding
  • Identify the importance of the key person

Unit 2: Equality, Diversity and Professional Partnerships

  • Understand how legislation, policies and procedures inform equality, diversity and inclusive practice
  • Explore Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Code of Practice 0-25 Years
