Since 1936, our undergraduates have focused on the scientific aspects of how our planet works. The Earth and Ocean Science program prepares students for careers in climate, energy, geology, oceanography, and water and natural resources. Nature is our classroom, and the laboratory our proving grounds for analytical and quantitative skills.

From their forestry roots in 1932, our environmental majors combine Natural and Social Sciences to address pressing environmental challenges. Students develop their own path through rigorous training in and out of the classroom.
