Develop the skills needed to become a proficient PC user with the ECDL Computing Basics course. The European Computer Driving License (ECDL) is an internationally recognised qualification that demonstrates basic competence in the use of a computer.

Designed for absolute beginners, this seven module course contains all the materials and practice exercises a student needs to pass the ECDL certification exams.

The ECDL Computing Basics Course will be of most interest to:

  • People who want to earn a qualification that demonstrates a basic level of competence with computers.
  • Businesses that want to introduce a common standard of computing ability throughout their workforce.

The ECDL Computing Basics course uses a series of interactive videos and self-study manuals, delivered online through our learning platform. Students enrolling on the course will be able to access elearning content anyplace anytime, allowing them to study when most convenient.

Over the course of seven separate modules, students are taken through the most common basic computing tasks they will face in the workplace. A series of quizzes and flash cards allow learners to test their progress after each video, and a series of practical examples encourage them to apply the knowledge they have just acquired.

This is backed by end of unit tests and quizzes that ensure students have fully grasped the concepts being taught before moving on to the next learning goal. Students can also learn from their peers by using the social network to share their real world experiences and observations.
