Specializations

The degree programme in Economics and Management allows students to create a personal academic profile across several fields such as accounting, finance, macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, and economics of business. Students are expected to focus on several academic fields, rather than one particular field.
The courses are taught on a high level and requires that students are interested in and are thoroughly versed in mathematics, econometrics, and economic theory.

If you wish to have a formal specialization appearing on your diploma, you can choose between the following:

Economics

the Economics specialization is for students with a special interest in the fields of econometrics, macroeconomics and microeconomics.

Management

The Management specialization has its primary focus on accounting, finance and economics of business.

Public Policy

With a specialization within public policy you will focus on the connection between economic issues and political science. You will follow courses within both economics and political science, which will provide you with strong analytical skills and an ability to bridge the division between the political and economic research areas. This specialization is primarily aimed at bachelor students with a degree in Public Policy.

No Specialization

It is also possible to enroll in the master’s study programme without a formal specialization. If you choose this, there are still requirements in terms of progression and course distribution. However, there will be fewer requirements compared to students enrolled in a master’s study programme with a specialization.
