Year 1

Year 1

This is a three-year course combining required and optional modules to a total of 120 credits per year, and with an option to study abroad in the first semester of year two.

  • Mathematics for Economists
  • Statistics for Economists
Optional Modules

There are no optional modules available in your first year, but you can choose to study one of the following additional credit modules. Additional credit moduels do not count towards progression.

  • Foreign Language Option (15 credits)
  • Communication Skills (15 credits)


Year 2

Year 2 Required Modules

You are required to take the following modules:

  • Intermediate Microeconomics (15 credits)
  • Intermediate Macroeconomics (15 credits)
  • Introduction to Econometrics (15 credits)

You are also required to take 30 credits from the following modules:

  • Principles of Marketing (15 credits)
  • International Business (15 credits)
  • Corporate Finance (15 credits)
  • Management Accounting (15 credits)

You are also required to take one of the following modules:

  • International trade (15 credits)
  • Industrial Organisation (15 credits)
  • Econometrics Project (15 credits)

Choose two modules (totalling 30 credits) from a range which typically includes:
