The future of financial transactions, applications and management of finances is expected to be impacted heavily by FinTech. We have already started to see the application of FinTech e.g. cryptocurrency, crowdfunding, mobile payment systems in the business world and the economy at large. As such, it is important for future graduates to understand the trends and innovations in the financial industry. Students choosing this pathway will have a good grasp of not only the foundations and applications of FinTech but also on the strategic implementation of FinTech in the business world and the economy at large.

About this course
This course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop a firm knowledge of ‘core’ economic and finance concepts, theories, ideas and tools and understand their application to a range of problems and relevance in a variety of contexts. Students will also learn about the strategic importance of FinTech in businesses and how technology can be implemented and managed in a variety of business contexts.
Some of the career paths you could pursue after this degree are: investment analyst; business analyst/adviser; data analyst; economic adviser (for central or local government and businesses); postgraduate study.
