Why study the Bachelor of Education (Primary)The Bachelor of Education (Primary) is a four year pre-service teacher qualification designed for effective teacher preparation in the unique contemporary context. The program develops capacities required by teachers working in the information age, a time of rapid change where education is recognised as playing an increasingly important role in society. The program develops teachers across prep to year 6, spanning the Early and Middle Phases of Learning. In particular, the program focuses on the development of skills, understandings and attributes that enable graduates to demonstrate specialist abilities with respect to:Literacy and numeracyDiversity and differentiated learningLeadership and researchConnected practicumStudents are expected to enrol fulltime throughout the duration of their program (ie 8 units per semester).Honours:Students who intend to undertake the Bachelor of Education (Primary) as an Honours program must apply to transfer into the Bachelor of Education (Primary) (Honours) program after successful completion of 3 years full time study in the Bachelor of Education (Primary) program.
