METHOD

A range of personal planning and self-assessment tools will be used throughout the day, together with tutor and group discussions. All participants will be encouraged to play a part in group exercises.

OBJECTIVES

By the end of the workshop participants will be able to:

• identify personal challenges they may face in managing others and acknowledge key areas for personal development
• define and reflect upon the four different areas of leadership and management
• identify the roles individuals play in the development of effective teamwork
• apply a five-step delegation technique to ensure willing co-operation from others
• apply a corrective action process to hold team members accountable
• set realistic goals using SMART
