A minimum of four GCSEs (including Mathematics & Science) at Grade C or above or BTEC 1st Diploma (including Mathematics & Science).
Mature students without formal qualifications may be admitted provided they can demonstrate benefit from the course and a likelihood of passing it.

Interesting Facts
The BTEC National Certificate in Electrical & Electronic Engineering is a 2 year study designed to equip individuals with a 12 Unit* Certificate in Engineering and develop the practical skills, knowledge and understanding required for success to start work as a Technician. These include design, planning, drafting, microelectronic and production engineering covering electrical and mechanical requirements of the engineering industry.
The qualifications also enable progressions to BTEC Higher National qualification / Foundation Degree or direct access onto a number of full undergraduate degree courses (B.Eng, M.Eng) at various Universities and into professional occupations in Engineering and related fields.
