You will gain advanced skills and knowledge in a wide range of electrical engineering aspects ensuring that you are able to work both competently and safely. You will have the opportunity to utilise the IET On-Site-Guide with some of the units; and also acquire the knowledge of electrical science and principles. For the Level 3 course you will study at the College for three days a week. This course is mainly theory based but provides practical opportunities through inspection & testing practice and scientific experiments. It combines lectures, directed study, workshop activities and simulated jobs in the College. This qualification has been designed to map into the Advanced Electrotechnical Apprenticeship qualification. Successful completion of this course would allow a quicker completion of the Electrotechnical Apprenticeship framework, should you successfully gain an apprenticeship place with a local employer.
