Apprenticeships are a popular choice for young people aged over 16 looking for on-the-job training and the opportunity to gain nationally recognised qualifications whilst earning a wage. Most of your training will be directly linked to the career you have chosen, gaining practical experience in the workplace, backed up by attendance at college just one day a week.

An Advanced Apprenticeship in Electrical Industry will give you valuable experience of a variety of electrical activities. You will be working in various environments covering Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Installations. Your exact duties will depend upon your employer.

Your offer of Apprenticeship training will be dependent upon you securing employment, the college may be able to assist you with this.

Apprenticeships are a great option for school leavers who want to get straight onto the career ladder. An Apprenticeship is equivalent to 5 GCSE's.

The apprentice does not have to pay any fees for this course, however the employer may be required to pay a contribution towards the costs of training.
