Electrical Installation Level 2 Diploma

• Selection is by interview. • You must complete a colour blindness and skills assessment test. • We welcome applications from mature students. Plus the following: • 4 GCSEs at minimum grade D, or equivalent, including English, maths and Science or Level 1 Electrical Installation • A positive working attitude. Course Content The course consists of five units of study: • Health and Safety in Electrical Installation • Electrical Installation Theory and Technology • Electrical Installation Methods, Procedures and Requirements • Electrical Installation Craft Skills • Electrical Science and Principles. Progression You can progress your learning with Weymouth College from Level 2 through to Level 3, which provides a good grounding for entry to the electrical engineering and installation industries. Those who successfully complete the Level 2 course may be able to progress to the Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation. The course should provide an enhanced understanding of the principles and skills required for these industries, and allow progression to higher education. Fees • If you are aged 16-18 as of 31 August on the year of enrolment – no course fee. • If you are over 19 as of 31 August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases. • Bursary funds There are financial support arrangements for 16-18 year olds and hardship funds available for the over 19s.
