Electrical power and energy involves generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy reliably and efficiently to meet consumer demands. New environmentallyfriendly and sustainable sources of electricity such as wind farms, wave farms, bio-mass generators and other novel technologies are being explored and implemented. Students will study these aspects, and will have access to one of the few remaining high-voltage laboratories in the UK.
