About this course

The course aim is “understanding by doing” therefore the theory is sufficient to carry out the first line maintenance efficiently and safely and in compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations with an emphasis on the candidate demonstrating an understanding during the practical exercises.
If the company then wishes to show “competence” at work we can arrange for the candidate to continue with an on site assessment programme, which would result in a nationally recognised Qualification (NVQ), or we can arrange for on site assessment to show competence of various individual tasks.

This course is suitable for any non-electrical staff that are required to carry out basic electrical maintenance.
