The electroplating technician is the one who works in the field of electroplating, a technique, used mostly in the industrial field, which allows to cover a non-precious metal with a thin layer of a more precious or more noble or passivable metal by exploiting the electrolytic deposition. This process is usually used to protect metal structures from corrosion, but it can also have decorative purposes. For example, through electroplating it is possible to cover copper with silver or steel with zinc, tin, nickel or chromium. The discovery of the galvanic technique began in 1791 when Luigi Galvani discovered the electric fluid, which is why all electrolysis procedures are called electroplating which derives from his surname Galvani. The following is the normal procedure for carrying out an electroplating treatment.
