What will I study?
This course is designed for those students who wish to train and
obtain underpinning knowledge in electrical installation work to

Subjects:
- Application of health and safety and electrical principles
- Installation (Buildings and Structures), inspection, testing
and commissioning - Installation (Buildings and Structures) inspection, fault
diagnosis, commissioning and rectifictaion
C & G Level 3 qualifications in wiring regulations, testing
& inspection of electrical installations.
This can lead to employment in:
- Electrician
- Apprentice electrician
To have achieved the Level 2 2330 Certificate in
Electrotechnical Technology with good grades (credits and
distinctions) in all of the six units.
How will I be assessed?
Practical skills are assessed throughout the course by
internally set assignments. Theoretical knowledge is assessed by
mock internal exams in preparation for one on-line exam and two
short-answer written exams set by City & Guilds. Practical
skills are assessed the end of the course by a 1-day practical exam
set by City & Guilds.
What will it cost?
If you are under 19 and a home student, in most circumstances,
you don't pay any fees. However, you will need to find this out
when you apply.
