Course Overview:
This course enables the successful candidate to be able to act safely and promptly in an emergency situation in the workplace. On completion of this training, successful candidates will be able to:
understand the role of the first aider;
assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly, and effectively in an emergency;
administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and
administer first aid to a casualty with minor injuries.

Progression Opportunities:
We offer a First Aid at Work course and a Pediatric First Aid qualification.
Entry Requirements:
You need to be a minimum of 16 years of age,
You do not hold a valid first aid at work qualification,
This is an interactive course which requires the student to participate in physical activity.

Course programme
Course Delivery:
The course is delivered on a BESPOKE basis only to organisations and requires a group booking of approximately 8 learners or more for a fee of £75 pp vat exempt .
(Delivery can be at the college or your own premises)
The course is delivered over six hours and is assessed as set out below:
- continual assessment by the tutor, and
- completion of the self test worksheets.
